Rock'n'Roll dance classes at Woy Woy

Rock'n'Roll dance classes will be held at Woy Woy Leagues Club starting Wednesday, May 7, at 7pm.

They will be run by KO Rockers, which was established in 1990 by a principal dancer Karen Cashion in Queensland.

The initial class was attended by only six students at Southport RSL club.

During 13 years, the classes climbed to 250 students and the most successful "hop" attracted 550.

Some 8000 students have passed through the school, some even meet their life partners through Ko Rockers

Karen has attended weddings where the bride and broom met in her class.

KO Rockers' involvement in the Gold Coast "Wintersun Rock'n'Roll Festival" has seen them win many trophies and high esteem of other dance schools.

Many friendships made during the years still flourish to this day.
