Coloring competition for Law Week
Woy Woy Local/Children's court will host a colouring in competition for four local public schools as part of Law Week, May 12 to 17.
The local public schools to participate in the colouring in competition are Woy Woy Public School, Woy Woy South Public School, Ettalong Public School and Umina Public School.
Children of all year levels will participate and it is hoped the competition will improve their awareness of courts and the law.
The picture to be coloured in depicts a court scene.
A local magistrate will judge the competition and consolation and winners prizes will be offered to children from each school.
The competition will be open to the public for viewing.
Local sponsorship has come from McDonalds, Kids Camelot, Cinema Paradiso, AC Knibb, Kaine & Associates, Alleyne & Co, Katie Smith Solicitor, Peninsula Law and Tonkin Drysdale Partners.
Law Week offers information sessions and activities to the general public on different legal subjects and processes at various venues around the State.
It aims to improve the public's knowledge of the law.
