Relationships course at health centre

The Peninsula Women's Health Centre will be hosting an eight-session course on "Healthy Relationships".

Ms Kate Bradfield from the centre said: "The course is about relationships based on equality and will offer participants the opportunity to recognise respectful ways of relating to others active participation by group members will be encouraged in a safe and respectful environment.

"Themes to be covered are respect, trust, support, honesty, accountability, shared responsibility, negotiation, fairness, economic, partnership, responsible, parenting, and feeling safe."

"Healthy Relationships" will be facilitated by Yvonne Girvan who is a relationship counsellor with Coast Care Inc.

The course starts on Tuesday, May 6, and is held each Tuesday until June 24.

Each session will be from 10am to 12pm.

There is no fee charged, just a request for a gold coin donation.
