Captains and prefects inducted

Woy Woy South Public School inducted its captains, vice-captains, prefects and sports house captains at a special school assembly on Friday, February 14.

Present, as special guests, were relatives and friends of the recipients.

The ceremony was opened with the school creed, led by new school captain Matt Goddwin, followed by a welcome to visitors by new school captain Tamara Sexty.

Principal Mr Mick Tattam spoke of the pride the school community felt with the manner in which the prefects and sports captains had conducted themselves.

Presentation of sporting house captains and vice captains was performed by sports master Mr Scott Campbell and assistant principal Mrs Tracey McKeown.

Following this, assistant principal Mrs Angela Boyd addressed the prefects, badges being awarded to them by deputy principals Miss Jo Booth and Mr Steve Collins.

The school captains and vice captains were presented their badges by Mr Tattam and a P&C representative.

Deputy principal Mrs Kim Whealey led the prefects' pledge.

The ceremony was concluded by the rendition of the school prayer, led by new vice-captain Lachlan Hook, and the National Anthem led by new vice-captain Hayley Jones.

Inducted were:

Captains: Tamara Sexty and Matt Goodwin

Vice-captains: Hayley Jones and Lachlan Hook

Prefects: Sinead Bollom, Beau Bovis, Elizabeth Cansdale, Jack Fletcher, Sam Kerle, Bethany Leggett, Samantha Mainwaring, Zac Turbayne.

House captains: Rebecca Hook, Alex Lash, Ben Clews, Renee Mainwaring, DJ Hogan, Yasmin Wood, Kirby Litterick, Beau Marshall.

House vice captains: Jacob Tiko, Juliana Peniazeva, Josh Thrift, Meagan Waugh, Brayden Williams, Meghan Stokie, Olivia McGahey, Callum McGillicuddy.

After the induction a sausage sizzle was provided for the recipients and their guests.
