Animal protector honoured

One of the Peninsula's most dedicated animal protectors, Mrs June Brown, of Woy Woy was honoured at a recent RSPCA monthly meeting.

RSPCA CEO Bemie Murphy, state co-ordinator of branches and shelters Sue Patchett and volunteer co-ordinator Chris Batchelor attended the meeting to present a plaque to June.

"June has spent her whole life caring for and looking after the welfare of any creature who is in need, be it bird, cat, dog, horse or whatever," said Central Coast president Val Hampson.

"It was very emotional for all concerned and June was amazed that we had chosen to give her this well deserved award."
