Aboriginal agencies meet

The Central Coast Aboriginal Interagency will hold its next meeting at the Peninsula Community Centre in Woy Woy on February 27.

Aboriginal residents on the Peninsula and organisations that provide services to Aboriginal residents are invited to attend.

Participants will have an opportunity to network and to share information about the services and programs they provide.

They also raise issues and suggest solutions.

People attend from diverse agencies such as health, education, sport and recreation.

Wyong and Gosford Councils provide administrative support in the form of taking and distributing minutes.

Meetings have alternated between Gosford and Wyong areas to enable as many people as possible to be actively involved.

The Central Coast Koori Ceremonies and Events Committee meeting is also held in conjunction with the Aboriginal Interagency, to make the best use of people's time.

Enquiries can be made to staff at Nunyara, Central Coast Health's Aboriginal Unit, on 4320 2698, or to Shirley Hotchkiss at Wyong Council on 4350 5383.
