Financial planner comes in second
Woy Woy resident Mr Troy Chapman has come second in a field of almost 800 financial planners in Value of Advice Awards.
His financial planning practice Country Wide Wealth competed against the other financial planners in the dealer group Charter Financial Planning.
Mr Chapman was recognised for his role in assisting a Central Coast woman who had been diagnosed with cancer.
He ensured that the client received the right amount of money at the right time and in the right hands.
She had previously seen a different adviser and unfortunately had been given poor advice that meant that while she suffered a claimable health event she would not personally have received any money.
Mr Chapman was able to turn the tables and made sure the client was able to receive the money where she needed it most while significantly reducing her personal tax liabilities in the process.
Mr Chapman said coming runner-up on the night was an honour.
"It was nice to be recognised by the industry for some of the hard work that I put in every day improving the lives of local families on the Central Coast whether it be through saving them money, providing correct levels of insurance or helping to build them wealth.
"We aim to provide valuable advice for every one of our clients that will help to change their lives for the better - with any luck the industry will recognise Country Wide Wealth again in a year or two and we'll take out the top award," said Mr Chapman.
