Outdoor sports cancelled
Umina Public School postponed all of its outdoor sporting activities after warnings from NSW Health during the recent bushfires.
NSW Health recommended that students attending schools between Wollongong and Newcastle should not participate in outdoor school sports due to the potential health risk to students, particularly those with asthma or heart conditions.
The cancelled sporting activities at the school included a ball game carnival, cricket match and other school sports.
