Woytopia market cancelled

The Peninsula Waterfront Woytopia Market was cancelled on Sunday, October 13, after severe winds forced stallholders to pack up.

Patrons and passers-by helped stallholders pack up their stalls after the gusts made it too dangerous to remain trading.

A number of marquees were lost due to the damaging winds.

"The wind was such that past ruining marquees, it was potentially dangerous with things flying everywhere," said market organiser Mr Liam Grant.

The next market will be held on November 10.
