Workshop for young writers
Woy Woy Library will host "Write for Fun", two free writing workshops on July 18, for young people who enjoy writing stories and poetry.
The workshops are sponsored by the Fellowship of Australian Writers Central Coast and will be presented by writer, Pat Lindsay.
A workshop for students in Years 3 to 6 will be held from 10am to 12am and another for students in Years 7 to 9 will be held from 1pm to 3pm.
Both workshops will be held in the Spike Milligan Room and all writing materials will be supplied.
Pat Lindsay, a writer of short stories and poetry, has won many awards, including the Grenfell Henry Lawson, CJ Dennis (three times), and Judah Waten prizes.
Writers Sheila Drakely, Bridget Sharp, and Joan-Marion Bean will assist her in the workshops.
Bookings are necessary as each workshop is limited to 25 places.
