Bowls president completes term
Woy Woy women bowlers recently held a President's Day to farewell president Mrs P Toohey, who is completing her term of office.
Mrs Toohey welcomed special guests, State vice-president Mrs T Part and Mrs F Berry (Coaching Panel), Central Coast District WBA president Mrs B Brown and Mrs J Homan, representatives from district clubs, visitors, and members.
Following morning tea, a short game of bowls was played in brilliant sunshine.
After the game, members were joined by representatives from the men's club, parent body and members of the president's family.
Lunch was served in the auditorium which was decorated in the president's favourite colours of pink and mauve.
A small gift was placed at each setting.
The toastmistress was Mrs I Campbell.
Gifts were presented to the president by Mrs Part and Mrs Brown.
The president of the men's club and the chairman of the parent body each presented Mrs Toohey with flowers, congratulating her and all who were responsible for arranging the celebration.
Mrs Toohey invited Mrs Part and Mrs Brown to join her in cutting the cake.
At the close of the day, the president thanked all present for making her day such a memorable one, and wished all a safe journey home.
