Special school cafe and kitchen

The Student Support Unit at Umina Campus, Brisbane Water Secondary College, has been awarded a grant by the Central Coast Community Chest to build a school cafe and kitchen.

It will be run by intellectually disabled students.

The students received a cheque for $5000 at Gosford Council Chambers on Tuesday, June 24.

The Central Coast Community Chest has raised money locally through workplace payroll deduction programs, corporate support, private donations and special events and distributes it locally to over 50 charitable organisations.
