Win tickets to pantomimes

Peninsula News will be giving away four double passes to the Cinderella and Hairy Fairies pantomimes at the Peninsula Theatre.

Both pantomimes will run on Monday, July 14, Tuesday, July 15, Wednesday, July 16, and Friday, July 18.

Cinderella will commence at 10.30am while Hairy Fairies will commence at 1.30pm.

Readers are offered a chance to win one of four double passes to either show.

Interested readers should mark an envelope "Pantomime Giveaway" and address it to Peninsula News, PO Box 532, Woy Woy, 2256.

The entrant's name, address, and telephone number must be detailed on the back of the envelope, along with the name of the preferred pantomime.

Only one entry per household will be accepted.

All tickets are $10 and are available at Laycock Street Theatre (4323 3233) and Peninsula Community Centre (4341 9333).

"Dance City Theatricals will be performing two brand new children's pantomimes in the July holidays," said founder and producer Ms Angela Denman.

"Dance City specialises in audience participation and the kids will love that they are an integral part of the show.

"There's the Hairy Fairies' brand new space adventure. It can only be described as 'the Muppets meet Sesame Street.'

"These lovable characters zoom in, in search of the Lolly planet and hoping to meet the Marshmallow Princess, only to find that the Evil Space Pirates have kidnapped her.

"But if the traditional is more your style, then there's the classic romantic tale of Cinderella.

"Join Cinderella and her pet mouse, Ratty, as they try to get to the palace ball to meet the handsome prince.

"Watch as the evil stepmother and magical fairy godmother battle it out for a happy ending and laugh along at the hilarious antics of the ugly stepsisters.

"Our next big challenge is to take the shows to the outback - to perform to children who have never seen a pantomime," said Ms Denman.
