Busy year for library

It has been a busy year at the Woy Woy campus library at Brisbane Water Secondary College.

A student photocopier, installed in the library during first term, has been well used by students.

The P&C purchased a new print edition of the World Book Encyclopedia for the library and the World Book Online for the whole school.

A variety of new texts, fiction and non-fiction, including senior study guides, were purchased for the library.

The library has been used for many different activities, including one on one tutoring, youth mentoring, SRC meetings and P&C meetings.

Teacher-librarian Mr Simon Norris said: "So far this year, a pleasing number of students have made use of the research facilities available within the library and hopefully this trend will continue as the facilities are improved."

Mr Norris thanked students who helped with the recent re-organisation of the library shelving: Ben Cain, Kathleen Stahl, Matt Hallows, Kristy Goldsworthy, Jessica Wakelin and Rachael Kiernan.
