Runners-up in touch final
The open boys' touch football team of Woy Woy Campus, Brisbane Water Secondary College, was defeated by Terrigal High's team in the Central Coast final.
In a tightly fought contest, the team lost six tries to five on June 6.
Team coach Mr Cribb said: "A fitting result would have been a draw.
"Both teams deserved to win an extremely exciting, see-sawing game.
"Unfortunately for us, Terrigal scored the last try with minutes remaining to edge us out.
The open boys' rugby league team defeated Lisarow High's team, 22-10, in the preliminary round of the Central Coast Division of the Motor Accident Authority Shield on June 4.
Mr Cribb said: "We started the game confidently and caught Lisarow by surprise.
"Lisarow hit back and were looking good in trailing 12-10 at the break.
"After half-time we knew we had to lift and lift we did.
"To a man, the BWSC team played as if their lives depended on it, continually repelling the Lisarow attack."
