Call for action on 4WDs

The Patonga Progress Association has contacted Council's manager of reserves over the need for measures to be taken to prevent "desecration" of sand dunes by four wheel drives.

The association also held site inspections with the Hawkesbury Nepean catchment management trust about siltation at the mouth of the creek.

The association has praised Council's efforts in repairing the bus stop regions in Patonga St and its clean-up at the end of Meroo St.

The association has been instrumental in having Council install a dog droppings collection bin at Eve Williams Memorial Oval this month.

Council will also prepare a companion animal management plan to address the issue of dog exercise areas.

The existing area is the land between Brisk St South and the camping ground.

Council's plan will consider extra dog exercise areas.
