Changes for Troubadour folk club

The Troubadour folk and acoustic music club has changed meeting days and the venue for its regular events.

The Tuesday evening gatherings at the Masonic Hall have been moved to the CWA Hall opposite Fisherman's Wharf, Woy Woy, to meet on the second Friday of each month.

The end of the working week has been chosen so that more people may be able to take advantage of the music provided without the concern of having to get up early for work the next day.

The evening commences at 7.30pm and the hall is close to bus, rail, ferry and taxi stations.

The format for the evening has also changed with more emphasis on special guest artists and locals performing either individually or in their chosen groups with the larger jam sessions either being left until the end of the evening or held elsewhere at members' homes on weekends.

All are welcome to attend, with or without instruments.

Tuesday meetings at the "304 on West" restaurant, Umina, have been moved to the first Friday of each month, when Troubadour members will perform for restaurant patrons.

There is no cover charge and the music varies in style and genre throughout the evening and from week to week.

The first of these will take place on August 4, also commencing at 7.30pm, and bookings are recommended.
