Leading tenor to perform at Arboretum
Opera Australia tenor Diego Torre will perform at Pearl Beach Opera in the Arboretum on Saturday, March 23.
Opera in the Arboretum is the major annual fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Woy Woy.
A leading tenor at Opera Australia for many years, Diego Torre's roles have included Radames, Turiddu, Canio, Calaf, Cavaradossi, Pinkerton, Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Rodolfo (La boheme), Gustavus (Un ballo in maschera), and The Duke (Rigoletto).
Born in Mexico City, Diego Torre was a Domingo-Thornton Young Artist at Los Angeles Opera, where he made his company debut as Don Jose in performances of Carmen.
