Disabled surfers seek volunteers
The Central Coast Disabled Surfers Association is seeking volunteers for its February 3 event at Umina Beach in an attempt to reduce its waiting list.
An initial 50 surfer places were filled within a day of registration opening, with 10 people placed on the waiting list.
"As we gain more volunteers, we will be able to invite those on the list to register," said association president Ms Rae Fletcher.
"If you are on the waitlist and receive a place offer, you need to accept and complete your registration.
"If you can no longer attend, please notify us, so we can offer the place to another surfer."
Ms Fletcher asked carers not to register on a separate ticket to surfers or as volunteers.
