Young life savers recognised in Youth Week awards

Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club members have been recognised at the Central Coast Youth Week Awards recently.

Ebony Falconer was recognised as finalist for Youth Volunteer.

Jodie Mead was recognised as finalist for the Youth Sportsperson.

Another three were finalists for Youth Leadership (Group) award for their role in the NSW-ACT Guide Dogs What's SUP Mobility Day.

"Over six years our club engaged surf life saving youth across the branch to provide water safety facilitation and education for young people with a vision impairment and their families," said club president Mr Michael Cairns.

"Our youth also received valuable training on how to empower vision impaired participants to enjoy water activities."
