Disco night had record attendance

Umina Beach Public School held a night of disco dancing for Years K-2 and 3-6 organised by the school's P/C on Tuesday, April 8.

"We had around 450 students attend, about 75 per cent of the school, which might just be our biggest attendance record and all students at both discos were amazing," said school principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.

"I have attended many, many schools discos and I can honestly say last night topped them all in terms of student engagement, positive behaviour, enthusiasm, great manners and consideration of others," she said.

She said the time, energy and effort put in by parents planning, organising and working behind the scenes with school staff who assisted, supervised and DJ'ed "really was a night of community partnership in action".
