Independent: Lisa Bellamy
As a mother, grandmother, wildlife carer and finance manager, I'm running as an Independent for the seat of Robertson because it's time to put our community and environment ahead of profits for a few.
The Peninsula is a unique part of the Coast - beautiful beaches, precious bushland, and close-knit neighbourhoods. But we're under pressure. Overdevelopment, unaffordable housing, and skyrocketing rents are forcing locals out - if you can even get out, with our roads more clogged than ever. GP clinics are overstretched, aged care support is lacking, and our reserves and parks are constantly under threat.
I want to be a voice of reason and compassion - someone who listens to locals, not party bosses or corporate donors. My vision is simple: a healthy environment, healthy community, and healthy food. That means stopping inappropriate developments, protecting bushland and pocket forests and supporting small-scale farmers. We need to get back to local solutions for our local issues.
We also need to ask the bigger questions. Why are things so broken? Let's tax big polluters and foreign-owned corporations, introduce a vacancy tax so we use the empty homes already here, and break up the corporate duopolies holding us back.
I believe we can build a thriving local economy that protects our way of life and our future. A vote for me sends a clear message to the major parties: people and the planet must come before profits.
