Ocean Beach performs well at Central Coast event

Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club hosted the Central Coast Surf Boat and U15-Opens Championships on Saturday, February 9.

The club had some great results from the Masters held at Umina Beach.

In individual events, Alison Tucker won the two kilometre beach run, beach sprint and beach flags.

Amanda Lawer came second in beach flags, and third in the two kilometre beach run and surf race.

Louise Lambeth won the beach sprint, and was second in the one kilometre beach run and beach flags.

Simone Rider was third in the beach sprint.

Tony Brown won the one kilometre beach run and beach flags, and second in beach sprint.

Jason Tucker was second in the two kilometre beach run.

Steven Plumber won the two kilometre beach run and beach flags, and was third in beach sprint.

Greg Argall was second in beach sprint.

Brook Beaver was also second in beach sprint.

In team events:

In the female 170yr beach relay, Alison Tucker, Amanda Lawer, Carly Ludbrook and Simone Rider came second.

In the female 130yr board relay, Carly Ludbrook, Amanda Lawer and Kristy Best came third.

The Male 200yr beach relay was won by Tony Brown, Jason Tucker, Greg Argall and Steven Plumber.

Congratulations also to our OB boat crews taking out the top spots.

In the boat events, the Masters 200 year women crew "Hot Mess" took gold.

The Masters 200 year men crew "Big Seas" took silver.
