Child care service opens community library and pantry
Woy Woy Peninsula Community Child Care has opened a "community library box" outside the service with children's, teenagers' and parent books.
The service also has parent library inside the foyer areas, where parents can help themselves to read about developmental milestones on babies, toddlers and preschoolers, children behaviour studies, children with eating challenges and more.
The child care service is promoting itself as "here for your children but also for you and your family and friends within our community too".
The service also now has a community pantry for parents who "have you forgotten something at the shops and don't have time to run back there" after picking up their child.
Parents may help themselves to our community pantry "and take that jar of sauce home that you were missing".
Conversely, parents are encouraged to bring unused goods from home and add it to the community pantry, "as long as it has a long expiry".
