Teddy Tahu Rhodes at Opera in the Arboretum
Bass-baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes will appear at Opera in the Arboretum to be held from 3pm at Pearl Beach on Saturday, March 29.
Teddy will sing favourites including "Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific, the famous "Toreador Song" from Bizet's Carmen, and Figaro's "Largo al factotum" from Rossini's The Barber of Seville.
Joining him will be mezzo-soprano Sally-Anne Russell, tenor Andrew Goodwin and soprano Clarissa Spata.
This year's program also features a baroque bracket including duet Pur ti miro from L'incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi and Dopa Notte from Ariodante and other works by Handel.
Special guest artist Madeleine Easton will perform Bach's Violin Concerto in E Major.
The event is supported by young players of the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra conducted by Patrick Brennan with Opera Australia's Kate Johnson on piano.
This is an open-air, all-weather event, and those attending may bring food, drinks, chairs and picnic blankets.
Proceeds from this community fundraiser organised by the Rotary Club of Woy Woy support Coast Shelter, Umina Surf Lifesaving Club, the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, and other Rotary projects.
Adult tickets cost $95 each.
