Swimmers break Pan Pacific Games records

Two swimmers from the Ettalong Pelican Masters Swimming Club broke Games records when they competed in the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast from November 6-9.

Lauren Bradley broke the record in the 800m individual medley, while Meghan Cronin swam a record time in the 800m backstroke.

They were part of a team of seven from Ettalong Pelicans among 15,000 athletes competing in 42 sports.

Competing against 564 swimmers, Ettalong finished 20th out of 93 countries and clubs world-wide.

The club won a total of 27 medals: 11 gold, 11 silver and five bronze.
