Mingaletta represented at Reconciliation conference
Mingaletta board member Mr Mark Champley has addressed Reconciliation Australia's National Conference in Brisbane on November 6 and 7.
He joined a panel with Ms Barbara Sheehy and Ms Rachelle Towart to discuss "Creating Better Pathways for Employment, Retention, and Leadership Opportunities" for Aboriginal people.
The session was led by Mr Adrian Cheatham, for "a truly thought-provoking and impactful discussion".
"Together, we unpacked the barriers to Aboriginal leadership in the workplace and explored practical enablers to strengthen these pathways.
"I also shared insights from my Churchill Fellowship research on reverse mentoring, highlighting how it creates meaningful connections and brings immense value to individuals, organisations, and the community at large."
He said it was an "incredible platform" and "an environment of learning, growth, and inspiration".
Mr Champley was awarded a Churchill Fellowship spent almost eight weeks overseas conducting his research late last year.
His report was published on May 30.
"My recommendations include organisations with a Reconciliation Action Plan (there are currently 3100) to consider implementing a reverse mentoring program."
