Three separate Remembrance Day services

Three separate services were held at a Umina aged care facility on Remembrance Day, November 11.

"We commemorated Remembrance Day in Don Leggett, Pozieres and Pam Palmer Houses," said Peninsula Village chief executive Mr Colin Osborne.

"Each service was uniquely special and residents, staff, family and community all played an important role.

"On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minute's silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.

"We acknowledged all those who died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations.

"A morning tea get-together afterwards sparked memories, conversation and a chance to share."
