Outdoor education students have overnight hike

A group of Brisbane Water Secondary College outdoor education students have had an overnight hike through the bushland of Berowra Valley National Park on Halloween night.

Carrying everything they needed to survive, they hiked from Woy Woy campus to Berowra.

They camped under the stars at Crosslands Reserve.

The students packed their own food and water, and demonstrated their barbecue skills at camp.

With "loads of energy", they played games of vortex catch and ultimate frisbee, swam, and held a number of "dance-offs".

At night, they braved the "eerie bushlands" for a thrilling game of spotlight, then woke early to pack up and tackle the challenging hike back.

After a final steep climb out to Mt Kuring-gai Station, they made it back to Woy Woy by lunchtime
