Path redesigned for pedestrian leisure

The "northern pathway" which runs through Woy Woy Peninsula Community Garden between Moana and Walford Sts will be temporarily closed from December 3, while it is redesigned.

During this time, pedestrian access from Moana to Walford Street will remain open via an alternate pathway within the garden.

The community garden committee hoped the new design would "bring the pathway back to its original intent of a leisurely pedestrian means of travel through the garden".

The new design aims to deter travel of motorcyclists through the gardens and also to slow down and encourage cyclists or scooter riders to dismount when using the pathway.

It should result in reduced safety risks to the public and garden volunteers.
