Two sessions to run in state-wide bridge championship
The Brisbane Water Bridge Club has two sessions to run for the state-wide Under-100 Masterpoints Championship
Five sessions hosted by the club started on Monday, October 23.
The sessions were also held on Wednesday, October 25, and today, Monday, October 30.
The two remaining sessions will be at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 1, and the final on Wednesday, November 29.
Conducted by the NSW Bridge Association, the championship provides the opportunity to earn extra masterpoints.
Players can play in as many sessions as they wish, and they need not have the same partner each time.
The fifth session is the statewide "final" and all players are welcome at the final even if they haven't played in previous sessions.
Any pair with a player over 100 Masterpoints may play in these sessions but will be non-contending for championship.
The details and performance of eligible pairs will be forwarded to the Association and assessed for further awards .
The UHMP Championship is hosted by several bridge clubs around the state.
In the final the same set of boards will be played at all participating host clubs.
Green masterpoints will be awarded in the normal way for all five sessions.
Members of other local clubs, including Gosford, Bateau Bay and Long Jetty, are
also welcome to participate at Brisbane Water.
Table fees are $5 for Brisbane Water members and $7 for visitors.
