Concert attracts 650 Beatles fans

Organisers estimate more than 650 Beatles fans attended a tribute concert at the Pearl Beach arboretum on Saturday, October 7.

Frequently the venue for classical music, this was the first "rock concert" held in the arboretum.

Arboretum president Ms Victoria Crawford said: "It was a fantastic concert by The Beatles Rebooted Band.

"We have never had so many people up dancing at any concert before.

"It was a great band with about 40 songs played.

"Concerts and events would not happen without the community support and volunteering to assist with setting up, managing the event and the parking," she said.

All proceeds were shared between the Arboretum and the Pearl Beach Progress Association for environmental and community projects, she said.
