Brigades called to accident at Warrah Trig

Rural Fire Service brigades from Pearl Beach and Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade attended a reported motor vehicle accident on the Warrah Trig track on the evening of Monday, June 12.

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 340 Umina firefighters were first on scene finding an unoccupied vehicle on its roof and burning.

Fire had started spreading into the nearby scrub, but quick action by this crew contained the fire and extinguished it.

The Rural Fire Service crews, arriving a short time later, further cooled and drenched the car and surrounds to eliminate any risk of re-ignition.
