Evacuation drill was 'a great success'
An evacuation drill held at Umina Public School last week was "a great success", according to principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.
"All students, staff and visitors who were on site evacuated to our off-site emergency point in just under 15 minutes," she said.
"Our students were outstanding.
"They remained calm, followed teacher instructions, moved safely and quickly and waited quietly at our assembly point.
"Students had an opportunity to de-brief with their classes and teacher following the drill.
"They may wish to talk more at home about their experience," Ms Wardlaw said.
