Students to participate in school survey

Students in Years 4-6 at Umina Beach Public School will participate in a Tell Them From Me student survey over the next two weeks.

"This survey provides our school with student perspectives about the engagement and wellbeing of our students," said principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.

"This information is valuable to us and can be used to identify strengths and successes, as well as areas to target for improvement.

"For primary students, the survey captures information relating behaviour at school, participation in sports and extracurricular activities, and effective learning time.

Other themes include the use of ICT for learning, homework behaviour and teaching relevance and rigour.

The survey covers sense of belonging, interest and motivation at school, perseverance, positive relationships and effort.

Among other themes, it will look at valuing school outcomes, advocacy at school, positive student-teacher relationships and expectations for success.
