Little Theatre opens ticket sales for August thriller
Woy Woy Little Theatre has opened ticket sales for its August performances of The Perfect Murder, adapted by Hugh Janes from the novel by Jeffrey Archer.
The production opens on August 4 for 10 performances.
"The Perfect Murder is a fast-paced mystery thriller based on a novel by master of the genre Jeffrey Archer," said Little Theatre director Ms Terry Collins.
"The play is set in England and centres around the murder of a young woman.
"Act I sees a split stage with action alternating between the office of the policemen investigating the murder and the home of a middle-aged couple, John and Elizabeth Hoskins.
"As the drama unfolds, it becomes clear that John is somehow involved in the grisly crime.
"Elizabeth is determined to keep John out of prison, even if it means that an innocent man will be punished for the crime.
"As the fast-paced action continues to alternate between the two settings, audiences are bombarded with clues as they try to decide for themselves just who did murder Carla Moorland.
"Act II sees the police office transform into a courtroom as the murder trial proceeds.
"Audiences will be on the edge of their seats until the final denouement - with a final plot twist guaranteed to leave them gobsmacked.
"The play features multiple multi-layered characters and every role is rich in characterisation and adds something vital to the overall plot."
The cast includes Graham Vale, Yvonne Berry-Porter, Gordon Crawford, Scott Larimore, Chris Cherry, Greg Buist, Gerard Minogue, Andy Kabanoff, Darienne Knight, Karen Rowe, Michelle Wallace and Michael Sheather.
