Woy Woy starts soccer training
Woy Woy Soccer Club plans to field an Under-18 and a seniors team in the coming season.
The coaching staff led by Nick Hagestephanous and George Savidis have already started preparing the senior squads for the season.
They said they were excited about working with a talented mixture of experience and youth.
They said that last year there were over 320 players registered, an increase of over 25 per cent on 2002, and the prospects for this year are even better.
Under President Leigh Martin the club returned to a position of financial strength, they said.
On-field results were highlighted by the U14B Women and All Age 3 Women winning their divisions.
Both the senior and junior presentation ceremonies were well-attended.
The latest inductee into the "20-Year Player" club was Nigel Daniel who joins his older brothers Jason and Matthew in this achievement.
This year the club will offer "Family discounts" to make playing the game more affordable and to encourage families to show loyalty.
Registration Days for 2004 will be held at Deepwater Plaza on Saturday, February 7 and 14.
