Peninsula allocated new Dole placements
Umina has been allocated 30 new Work for the Dole placements and Woy Woy two.
Community Success has secured 30 new places in Umina for the Umina Beach Community Hall refurbishment project, according to Member for Robertson, Mr Jim Lloyd.
He said the community hall would be upgraded by building a barbecue, a fence, a disability ramp, a garden and water feature.
The two new places in Woy Woy were for the Aged Care Assistant project by Wyong Workwise.
The project provided diversional therapy support to the elderly and frail aged residents of hostels for the aged.
"Work for the Dole gives unemployed people work experience," Mr Lloyd said.
"It provides supervision by local people, and it involves teamwork and initiative by the participants.
"The Government is firmly committed to Work for the Dole.
"It provides valuable work experience for participants and offers local communities new or better facilities," Mr Lloyd said.
