Money for fence

Ms Belinda Neal and Mr John Della Bosca will receive a $1000 grant from Gosford Council for a fence around their heritage-listed property in Taylor St, Woy Woy.

However, the Council's heritage committee recommended a letter be written suggesting they had not complied with the terms of the grant.

The couple had claimed $1000 for work completed in September 2000.

The grant had been approved by the committee in December 1998.

"Funding is available for 12 months following approval as stated in the Agreement for Financial Assistance conditions applying to all Projects form," the letter would state.

"Any future Small Grants funds allocated are to be spent within 12 months of approval.

"The letter is also to point out that, under the conditions of the grant of $1000 for the fence, the fence was to have been inspected by a Council officer when it was completed."
