A beautiful and special place

This time last year I sent an e-mail to the Peninsula News asking if anyone in the Woy Woy area would be interested in arranging a private home swap with a family in Auckland, New Zealand.

Thanks to your help we had a few interested responses, and the swap went ahead with a great holiday being had by both families.

The couple we swapped with last summer is now venturing further afield to Europe over January, and we are looking for another family who would be willing to exchange their home on the Central Coast for a home in central Auckland for a period of two or three weeks in January 2004, dates fairly flexible.

This would include the use of the family cars also.

Our family group consists of one retired couple, their daughter and grand daughter, 7, who require a two or three bedroom house and in exchange offer a two bedroom townhouse with garden, which is walking distance from central Auckland and close to many tourist attractions and shopping centres, and bus routes.

We tell everyone we know in New Zealand about Woy Woy and what a beautiful and special place the Peninsula area is

We are hoping to buy a house and settle there in the future.

There was a program here on Radio New Zealand last week all about the recent Spikefest and the Walking Backwards event, much to our delight and interest.

We read the Peninsula News online when we can to keep up with events in our favourite place.
