Jasmine completes acting diploma
Jasmine Baker of Umina is about to complete her Advanced Diploma of Stage and Screen Acting.
"The three-year course has been a real roller-coaster," she said.
"We've done everything from a devised performance in the City Square, which was scary, to a regional tour of The Threepenny Opera.
"I particularly enjoyed the experience of being directed by Adam Cook earlier in the year.
"He was so great, and the chance last year to sing and dance in our cabaret performance."
Jasmine undertook her diploma through the Australian College of Theatre and Television (ACTT)
"We've just done the film scenes for our 2003 Showcase presentation, so the time here at ACTT is nearly up.
"Actor training is pretty full-on but it's worth it, particularly when you're with such supportive and dedicated people," she said.
The college held a career and acting workshop at the Laycock St Theatre last Sunday.
