My Good Samaritan

On Wednesday, January 24, I travelled from Warnervale to Tascott, where I was staying with my niece and family.

After alighting form the train, I suddenly realised I could not remember the name of the street where my niece lived.

It was approximately 4.45pm and very hot.

I walked along and up the first street hoping to see one that would jog my memory - without success.

So, feeling unable tp proceed in the heat, decided to ask someone to look up the name in the telephone directory and discover the street.

The second doorbell I tried, a lady invited me in and asked her son to find the name for me as even with my spectacles, I could not read the small print.

Name and street were quickly found and that kind lady said she would drive me there because of the heat.

Her equally considerate son said she could use his newly acquired car, parked at the front and soon I was back home.

Mrs Vivian Booth is the name of my Good Samaritan and I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to her.

How wonderful to encounter so much thoughtfulness
