Andrew is farewelled

The Rotary Club of Umina Beach farewelled Andrew Knibb of Empire Bay who received his Youth Exchange blazer and left for Denmark late last month.

Andrew will enjoy a 12-month visit staying with different families.

Although Andrew has completed his HSC at Central Coast Grammar, he will attend school while on exchange.

With Andrew at his farewell Rotary party was Per Mortensen, who is currently on exchange from Denmark for 12 months.

Andrew will be living just 20 minutes away from where Per lives and will in fact arrive in time to attend Per's mother's 50th birthday party.

Andrew Knibb has a distinguished career in both cricket and rugby union, representing his school at State level in both. He was pleased to find out that close to where he will be living there are clubs of both sports.

Rotary is looking forward to welcoming Andrew back to learn of his year's experience.
