Ursino supports Clean Up Day

Owner-operator of McDonald's Woy Woy, Mr John Ursino, is calling on Peninsula residents to become involved in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, March 4.

"Key areas for concern this year include roadside rubbish, plastic bags and cigarettes butts and the effect they have on waterways and soils," he said.

"This year's Clean Up Australia Day presents a great opportunity to think about the next 100 years and how important it will be to preserve the environment for future generations," he said.

"Although there is only a minority of people who litter, it does take away from our community."

McDonald's Woy Woy has been a sponsor of Clean Up Australia Day since it began in 1989 and is committed to cleaning up every day, said Mr Ursino.

Registration forms are available from McDonald's.
