Women's bowling club holds annual charity day

The Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club held its annual Charity Day on Tuesday, August 8, with 100 bowlers from several local bowling clubs taking part.

The day raised $4000 for Central Coast Kids in Need.

"It is a voluntary organisation that supports the well-being of seriously-ill children through easing the financial burden for medication, equipment, travel and accommodation," said Umina Bowling Club secretary Mr Peter Springett.

"This was a very colourful event, with participants invited to wear bright, mufti attire."

The women's club president and vice-president Ms Sandra O'Malley presented a cheque to Ms Lorraine Churchill and Ms Rhonda Doyle from Central Coast Kids in Need.
