Ready reference available to planning principles

A ready reference to planning principles relevant to the Peninsula is now available the Peninsula Planning Portal on the Peninsula News website.

The reference is based on planning principles adopted by the NSW Land and Environment Court, which are relevant when making submissions about development applications.

The 20 selected principles are those that seem to be most commonly at issue with development applications on the Peninsula.

These principles are extracts of judgements listed on the Planning Principles page of the NSW Land and Environment Court website, https://www.lec.nsw.gov.au/practice-and-procedure/principles/planning-principals.html.

The court web page provides a more extensive list and has links to the full wording of the judgements involved.

Peninsula News editor Mr Mark Snell said he hoped the reference would be useful for residents interested in planning on the Peninsula.

The Peninsula Planning Portal can be found at http://peninsula.news/portal.aspx.
