Softball teams play friendly match at Ettalong oval
The girls' and boys' softball teams from Ettalong Public School played a friendly match at Ettalong Oval earlier this month.
Both teams had been training since the beginning of the term and, in that time, "improved their skills and their knowledge of the game immensely", said principal Ms Jodie Campbell.
"The girls played a great game with excellent teamwork and sportsmanship displayed.
"After some wonderful batting and fielding from both sides, our girls lost 14-10.
"The boys' team, formerly known as the cricket team, played with great success to have an excellent win 21-17.
"The boys fielded well but their batting was outstanding.
"Both teams thoroughly enjoyed the game and encouraged each other to be their best."
