Slow start for Woy Woy Lions

The Lakes proved too strong for Woy Woy in their rugby union clash at Slade Park, running out victors by 56 points to 12 on Saturday, August 12.

The Lakes took control from the start and it was not long before they opened the scoring with a try.

They had scored five unconverted tries in the first 30 minutes before Woy Woy were able to respond.

The Lakes had the game secured at the halftime break when they led by 32 points to 12.

Woy Woy did cross for two tries late in the first half when Casey Woodford was able to get a double.

The Lakes then were able to post a further 24 points in the second half to take the victory.

Woy Woy were best served by flankers Nataniela Parker and Casey Woodford, and fullback Ulysses Fotofili.
