Mission Australia to administer NEIS

Mission Australia Ettalong has been chosen as one of the successful tenderers for the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS).

The scheme helps unemployed people start a business and support it during their first year in business with small business training, income support and business support.

Commenting on the announcement, Member for Robertson Mr Jim Lloyd said: "Having been involved in small business almost all of my life I do understand the difficulties involved and I commend Mission Australia in Ettalong for their successful application.

"Some 80 per cent of NEIS participants remain in business or employment three months after completing NEIS, well above the average for small business," he said.

Successful NEIS providers were selected following the same procedures for assessing tender submissions for Job Network, he said.
