New cafe employs 20

McDonald's Woy Woy has opened a new addition to its business.

It is a "McCafe", the first on the Central Coast, which has created jobs for 20 local residents.

"The new McCafe will offer a wide selection of delicious food and coffee," according to owner-operator Mr John Ursino.

"We anticipate that delicious treats, such as muffins, and traditional favourites, such as chocolate mud cake, banana and carrot cakes will prove to be some of our most popular items."

"We will also serve foccacias and paninis as delicious savoury alternatives, and, for customers on the go, we will also have take away facilities for all of our McCafe products," said John.

The McCafe concept is an Australian innovation, which first started in Melbourne in 1993 and has since been adopted by McDonald's restaurants overseas, including the US.

The new McCafe will be located within McDonald's Woy Woy and opened on April 15.
